If you are in the center of Puerto Plata, start at Parque Central. From the park, head north on Calle 12 de Julio for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Avenida Independencia. Turn left onto Avenida Independencia and continue walking for another 500 meters until you reach the beachfront area. Puerto Plata Beach will be directly in front of you at the end of the avenue.
