Getting There

Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey in the city of Iquitos. Head southeast on Avenida La Marina towards Av. José de la Riva Agüero. Continue straight to stay on Av. José de la Riva Agüero, following signs for Nauta. After about 1.5 hours, you will arrive at the town of Nauta. From Nauta, take the road towards Tarapoa, which should take around 3 hours. As you approach Tarapoa, look for signs directing you towards Reserva de Produccion Faunistica. Jamu Lodge is located at WV66+P58, which is just off the main road. There is no entry fee for the reserve, but make sure to have a full tank of fuel and some cash for any possible tolls or additional local transport if needed.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Iquitos to Nauta. Buses leave frequently from the main terminal and the journey takes about 2 hours, costing approximately $5. Once you arrive in Nauta, find a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Tarapoa. This leg of the journey should take around 3 hours and should cost about $10. When you reach Tarapoa, you can hire a local taxi or motorcycle taxi to take you directly to Jamu Lodge at WV66+P58. The taxi ride should cost around $5-$10 depending on your negotiation skills.
