Car
If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Cotopaxi National Park. Head towards the Limpiopungo Lagoon area on the main paved road. The drive to the lagoon takes about 30 minutes. Once you reach the lagoon, look for signs leading to the hiking trails. Park your car in the designated parking area. From here, you can follow the marked trail towards Condor Machay Cascadas, which is approximately a 1-hour hike from the lagoon. The trail is well-defined, but be prepared for some steep sections.

To reach Condor Machay Cascadas via public transportation, take a bus from Quito to the Cotopaxi National Park entrance. Buses to the park depart from the Quitumbe bus terminal in Quito. The fare is around $2-3. Upon arrival at the park entrance, you will need to pay an entrance fee of approximately $10 per person. After entering the park, you can either hire a local guide or join a group tour that includes transportation to the Limpiopungo Lagoon. The hike from the lagoon to the cascades will take about 1 hour.
