Car
From the entrance of Cotopaxi National Park, head southeast on the main road. Follow the signs towards El Cotopaxi and continue straight for about 15 kilometers. Look for the turnoff to El Mudadero, which will be on your left. Take this road, and after approximately 5 kilometers, you will arrive at El Manantial, located at the coordinates 9HWR+GPR. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Quito to Latacunga, which usually costs around $1.50. From Latacunga, transfer to a bus heading towards the Cotopaxi National Park. Confirm with the bus driver that they stop at El Mudadero. The bus fare should be approximately $2. Once you arrive at El Mudadero, you may need to take a taxi or walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach El Manantial, located at 9HWR+GPR.
Taxi
If you are already within Cotopaxi National Park, you can hire a taxi from any nearby location to take you to El Manantial. Ensure to agree on a fare beforehand, which typically ranges between $10 and $15 depending on your starting point. Provide the driver with the coordinates 9HWR+GPR, and they should be able to navigate you directly.
