If you're driving from Tena, start by heading south on Avenida 15 de Noviembre. Continue straight for about 2 km until you reach the intersection with E20. Turn left onto E20 and follow it for approximately 4 km. Look for signs directing you to amaZOOnico, which will be on your left side. There is ample parking available for visitors.
Public Transportation
From Tena, you can take a local bus that heads towards the AmaZOOnico Wildlife Refuge. Buses frequently leave from the main bus terminal in Tena. Make sure to ask the driver if they go to amaZOOnico or the 'Animal Rescue Center.' The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, and the bus will drop you off at the entrance of the refuge. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.
