Getting There

Walking
From the central plaza in Otavalo, head south on Calle Sucre towards Calle Bolívar. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Roca. Turn left onto Calle Roca and walk until you reach the main road (E28). From there, you can either catch a bus or a taxi to Calacalí. If you choose the bus, look for one heading to Calacalí; the fare is usually very affordable. Once you reach Calacalí, ask the driver to drop you off near Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve. The entrance is a short walk from the drop-off point.

Starting from the Plaza de los Ponchos in Otavalo, walk to the nearby bus terminal located on Calle Roca. Look for buses that have 'Calacalí' displayed on their front. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride, which should take approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Calacalí, disembark and ask locals for directions to Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve, which is typically a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Otavalo. Simply find a nearby taxi or ask your hotel to arrange one.
