Walking
Starting from La Mariscal, head east on Avenida 6 de Diciembre towards the historic center. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Patria. Turn left onto Avenida Patria and walk straight for about 15 minutes. You will pass by several shops and cafes. When you reach the Plaza de la Independencia (Independence Square), you will see a large open space with historical buildings around it.

From La Mariscal, walk to the nearest bus stop on Avenida 6 de Diciembre. Take any bus heading towards the Centro Histórico. The bus fare is typically around $0.25. Let the driver know your destination, and disembark at the stop near Plaza de la Independencia. From there, it is a short walk to the square.

Taxi (on foot to a taxi stand)
If you prefer to take a taxi, walk to the nearest taxi stand in La Mariscal, usually found along the main streets. Ensure to communicate your destination clearly: 'Plaza de la Independencia' or show the driver the address: 'and Chile St Venezuela, García Moreno N5-16'.
