Public Transport
From Latacunga, take a bus to Zumbahua (approximately 2.5 hours, $2). Buses depart frequently from the Latacunga terminal between 5 AM and 7 PM. From Zumbahua, hire a taxi or 'mototaxi' to the Toachi River Canyon (approximately 15-20 minutes, $5-$10).
Walking
If you're in Zumbahua, you can walk to the Toachi River Canyon by heading south on the road leading out of town. The walk is approximately 5 kilometers and should take around 1.5 hours. Ensure you have comfortable shoes and plenty of water.
Car
From Quilotoa Crater Lake, drive east towards Zumbahua (approximately 30-40 minutes, 20 kilometers). As you approach Zumbahua, follow the signs to Toachi River Canyon. There is a parking area near the canyon entrance, with a parking fee of $1.
