Taxi
From the center of Mindo, take a taxi towards the Santuario de Cascadas. Taxis are readily available in Mindo. Agree on a fare with the driver before starting the journey; a typical fare is $5-6. The taxi will take you to the entrance of the Tarabita cable car. From there, you need to take the Tarabita to cross to the other side. The Tarabita costs $5 per person for a round trip.
Walking
From the Parque de Mindo (central plaza), head south. Follow the road towards the Mariposario. At the parking lot by the river, turn right and cross the narrow bridge across the Rio Mindo. From there on, follow the dirt road uphill until you reach the Tarabita. The walk to the Tarabita takes approximately 1 hour. Once there, you need to take the Tarabita to cross to the other side. The Tarabita costs $5 per person for a round trip.
