Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are near the Tallinn Old Town, head towards the Town Hall Square, known as Raekoja Plats. Start at the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, located on Toompea Hill. From there, walk down to the street called Lossi Plats and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Toom-Kooli Street. Turn left onto Toom-Kooli Street, which will lead you downhill towards the city center. Once you reach the bottom of the hill, continue straight until you see the Town Hall Square on your right. The Town Hall is located at Raekoja Plats 1.

  • Public Transport (Tram)

    Board Tram 1 or Tram 2 at the nearest tram stop to your location. If you are in the vicinity of the Old Town, you can catch the tram at the 'Vabaduse Väljak' stop. Ride the tram towards 'Keskturg' or 'Balti Jaam' and get off at the next stop, 'Tallinna Raekoja Plats'. From the tram stop, walk straight for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Town Hall located at Raekoja Plats 1.

Walk through the gate into the Old Town, and immediately turn left onto the street called Viru Street. Follow this street as it curves and leads into the Town Hall Square. After a few minutes of walking, you will find the Town Hall on your right-hand side at Raekoja Plats 1.

    If you find yourself at the Tallinn Harbour (Port of Tallinn), exit the terminal and head towards the city center. Follow the promenade along the waterfront until you reach the main road, which is called Narva Maantee. Turn left onto Narva Maantee and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Gonsiori Street, then follow the street until it intersects with Estonia Avenue. Turn right onto Estonia Avenue, which will lead you directly into the Old Town. Continue into the Old Town until you reach Raekoja Plats, where the Town Hall is located at number 1.
