From the central square of Viljandi, head southwest towards Tallinna Street (Tallinna tn). Continue straight for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Pärnu Road (Pärnu mnt). Turn left onto Pärnu Road and continue for another 200 meters. You will see a sign for Viljandi Castle Hill on your right. Follow the path that leads uphill towards the castle ruins. The walk should take approximately 10-15 minutes.

If you prefer to take public transport, start at the Viljandi bus station. Board any bus heading towards the city center (most buses will go this way). Get off at the stop named 'Vabaduse väljak' (Freedom Square). From there, walk southwest on Tallinna Street for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Pärnu Road.
