From the central area of Harar, start at the Harar Jugol (the old walled city). Exit the Jugol through the main gate and head towards the main road, which is known as the 'Haramaya University Road'. Continue walking straight along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by various local shops and residences. Keep an eye out for the park entrance on your left side, which is marked by a small sign. The park is situated just off the road, and you should see some greenery as you approach.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Harar Jugol (the old walled city). Ride towards the main exit and then turn onto Haramaya University Road. Follow this road for about 1.5 kilometers. Be mindful of the local traffic and pedestrians. The entrance to Hachalu Hundesa Park will be on your left, just past a few local shops. There is a small area to park your bicycle near the entrance.
