Start from the center of Mekele, specifically near the Mekele Market (Merkato). Head south on the main road, known as Hiwot Street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Abiy Addi Road. Turn left at this intersection and walk for an additional 1 kilometer. You will pass by local shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the signs that indicate the way to Bet-Negus. After reaching the next major intersection, turn right onto the road leading up the hill. Follow the winding path that leads up to Bet-Negus, which should be visible as you approach the elevated area. The entrance is marked, and you will see some local guides available nearby.

If you prefer to ride a bicycle, begin at the Mekele Market. Rent a bicycle from a local rental shop if you haven't already. Start heading south on Hiwot Street, maintaining a steady pace. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Abiy Addi Road. Cycle for another 1 kilometer, keeping watch for the signs to Bet-Negus. When you reach the major intersection, turn right onto the hill road. The ascent may be challenging, so pace yourself. Continue cycling up until you reach the entrance to Bet-Negus, where you can park your bike.

To reach Bet-Negus using public transport, locate the nearest mini-bus station near Mekele Market. Look for a mini-bus heading towards the outskirts or specifically towards Abiy Addi.
