Walking
From Gásadalur, start walking towards the path leading to Skarðsáfossur. The trail begins near the center of the village. Follow the well-marked path that leads through the scenic landscape. The hike is approximately 1.5 kilometers and will take around 30-45 minutes. As you walk, enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the ocean. Keep an eye out for markers along the path that indicate the direction to the waterfall.

If you have a car, drive towards Bøur. From Gásadalur, exit the village and head towards the main road. After approximately 6 kilometers, turn right at the junction towards Bøur. Continue driving until you reach Bøur, then follow the signs towards the hiking trail to Skarðsáfossur. There is limited parking available near the trailhead, so be sure to park responsibly. The drive takes about 10-15 minutes.

Public transportation options are limited in the Faroe Islands. However, you can take a bus from the nearest town, Sørvágur, to Gásadalur.
