Walking
From the center of Gjógv, head west towards the main road (Route 10). Follow the road for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Route 11. Turn left onto Route 11 and continue for about 2 kilometers. You will see signs for Slave Cliff (Lake Above the Ocean) along the way. As you approach, the path will lead you off the main road and into the scenic landscape.

If you are driving, start from the center of Gjógv and head west on the main road (Route 10). After about 1 kilometer, take the left turn onto Route 11. Continue driving on Route 11 for approximately 2 kilometers. Look for parking areas near the entrance to the hiking trail for Slave Cliff (Lake Above the Ocean). Note that parking may be limited, so arrive early to secure a spot. The area is designed for hiking, so be prepared to walk the final stretch to the cliff.
