Getting There

Walking
Starting from the city center of Tórshavn, head north on J.C. Svabosgøta street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Havnargøta. Turn left onto Havnargøta and walk towards the harbor. Once you reach the harbor, follow the waterfront path that leads towards the direction of Hoyvík. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for Tjóðsavnið on your right. The museum is located at 6 Brekkutún, Hoyvík 188. Follow the path that leads up to the entrance.

From Tórshavn city center, make your way to the nearest bus stop, which is located at Torv. Take the bus number 1 towards Hoyvík. The journey will take about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the 'Brekkutún' bus stop. From there, the museum is just a short walk away. Head up the hill on Brekkutún street, and you will find Tjóðsavnið at number 6.
