    From Ilomantsi center, drive along Polvikoskentie (Road 522) towards Polvikoski. Continue for approximately 20 kilometers. Tapion Taival trailhead will be on your right, with parking available near Polvikoskentie 91. Parking is free.

    Take a bus from Joensuu to Ilomantsi. From the Ilomantsi bus station, take a local taxi to Polvikoskentie 91, Tapion Taival trailhead, approximately 30km from Ilomantsi. Taxi fare is approximately 40-60 EUR.
