    From the Koli Nature Centre Ukko, Akka-Koli Hill is approximately 3 km away. The hike takes around 30-45 minutes. Follow the marked trails, ensuring you wear appropriate hiking gear and bring water. The trails are well-marked with numbered signposts, corresponding to the Koli service and trail map.

  • Car

    From Lieksa, follow the signs to Koli National Park. Drive approximately 10 km towards the Akka-Koli parking area. Parking fees typically range from 5 to 10 euros for a day. From the parking lot, it is a short 1 km hike to the summit. Parking areas P2 and P3 at Ukko-Koli (Ylä-Kolintie 31, Lieksa) have space for approximately 100 cars. Kolin Kirkko Parking Area (Ylä-Kolintie 4, Lieksa) has space for approximately 28 cars. Parking P1 (Ylä-Kolintie 31, Lieksa) has space for approximately 45 cars.

    Take a bus from Joensuu to Ahmovaara (Kolinportti). From Ahmovaara, it is 9 km to Koli National Park. You can take a taxi from Ahmovaara to Koli National Park (kolintaksi.fi). On weekdays, a pre-ordered connecting bus is available from Ahmovaara to Koli village (koli.fi). Bus tickets from Joensuu to Ahmovaara can be purchased from Matkahuolto. A taxi from Ahmovaara to Koli village will cost approximately 20-30 EUR.
