Getting There

    From Highway 5 (E63), turn east at Peranka onto Selkoskyläntie (9190) and continue for approximately 25 kilometers. Turn left onto Hossantie (843) and drive about 8 kilometers to the Hossa Visitor Centre, following the signs. There is no fee to enter the Visitor Centre. Parking is available near the visitor center.

    Take a bus from Kajaani, Kuusamo or Oulu to Suomussalmi. From the Suomussalmi bus station, transfer to a local taxi to reach Hossa Visitor Centre, approximately 40 km away. Taxi fare will cost approximately 75-90€. During school holidays, a bus runs to Hossa Holiday Centre, 6km from the Visitor Centre. Check local bus schedules for updated information.
