Walking
From Kuhmo city center, the Pajakkakoski Rapids Trail is accessible via the Rantaraitti (Riverside Walk). Follow the signs towards the Kuhmo City Library and Tuupala Museum. The trail starts near the bridge over the Pajakkakoski Rapids. The walk from the center is approximately 1-2 kilometers and relatively flat.
Public Transport
Local buses in Kuhmo serve the area around Pajakkakoski. Check the Kuhmo Public Transport website for the most up-to-date schedules and routes. From the bus stop, follow the signs to the Pajakkakoski Rapids Trail, a short walk away. A single bus fare within Kuhmo costs approximately €3-4.
Taxi
Taxis are available in Kuhmo and can take you directly to the Pajakkakoski Rapids Trail. A taxi from the Kuhmo city center to the trail will cost approximately €16-20. Taxi services include Korpitaksi and Menevä.
Driving
From Kuhmo city center, follow Hyryntie road. Parking is available near Hyryntie 24. Note that there may not be designated accessible parking spaces. Parking is free. From the parking area, the trail is a short walk away.
