From the southernmost point of Key West, begin your walk heading west on South Street. Continue until you reach the intersection with Duval Street. Turn left on Duval Street and walk for about half a mile until you reach the intersection with Caroline Street. Turn right onto Caroline Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the White Street. Turn left on White Street and keep walking until you reach the intersection with Howard England Way. Turn right onto Howard England Way, and continue until you reach the entrance to Fort Zachary Taylor Beach area.

If you have rented a bicycle, start at the southernmost point of Key West. Pedal west on South Street, continuing for about three blocks until you reach Duval Street.
