Discover more about Hyde Park Village

Nestled in South Tampa, Hyde Park Village has been a beloved landmark since 1886, when O.H. Platt, inspired by his hometown in Illinois, named the neighborhood. Over the years, it has evolved into a blend of historic charm and contemporary sophistication. Hyde Park Village provides a unique experience with its inspiring mix of luxury brands, local boutiques, and unique dining experiences. Anchored by the iconic Village Circle fountain, constructed in 1983, the village creates spaces that inspire and connect the community. Following WS Development taking ownership in 2013, a revitalization project from 2015 to 2018 refreshed the area with updated facades, greenery, outdoor spaces, and art. Today, Hyde Park Village is an upscale open-air shopping district with national retailers and local boutiques and restaurants. It's a place to immerse yourself in the tranquility of fountains, enjoy farm-fresh produce, and indulge in a charming boutique hotel. Hyde Park itself was Tampa's first western suburb. Railroad financier Henry B. Plant built the first bridge across the Hillsborough River here in the 1880s, spurring growth. Today, Hyde Park's history and convenient location make it a desirable residential neighborhood.
