Walking
From Pont Saint-Bénézet, head towards the Pont Saint-Bénézet bridge. Once you cross the bridge, you'll be in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. Continue straight along Rue de la République until you reach the junction with Rue de la Mairie. Turn left onto Rue de la Mairie and then take another left onto Avenue de la République. Follow this road until you see signs for Fort Saint-André. The fort is located at 57A Rue Mnt du Fort, and you will notice the entrance as you approach.
Bus
If you prefer not to walk, you can catch the local bus from the nearest bus stop in Pont Saint-Bénézet. Look for bus line 1, which travels towards Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. Get off at the stop named 'Fort Saint-André.' The fare for a single bus ride is approximately €1.30. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk to the entrance of Fort Saint-André at 57A Rue Mnt du Fort.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Pont Saint-Bénézet. Follow the same route as walking: cross the bridge and ride along Rue de la République. Bicycles are allowed on most roads, and you can park your bike at designated areas near Fort Saint-André. Make sure to check the bike rental costs, which typically range from €10 to €15 per day.
