Car
If you are driving, start from Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. Take the N205 towards Les Contamines-Montjoie. After approximately 24 km, you will reach Les Contamines. From there, follow the signs towards the Col de la Fenêtre. Continue on 'Unnamed Road' for about 6 km until you reach the parking area near Lake Jovet. Note that parking may incur a fee, usually about €5 per day.
Public Transportation
Take a train from Geneva to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains (about 1.5 hours). From the train station, take the local bus (line 12) towards Les Contamines-Montjoie. Get off at the stop 'Les Contamines - Le Pont'. From there, you will need to hike approximately 6 km to reach Lake Jovet. Ensure to check the bus schedule as it may vary depending on the season.
Hiking
If you are already in Les Contamines-Montjoie and prefer hiking, you can start your hike from the village center. Follow the marked trails that lead towards Lake Jovet. The trail is approximately 6 km long and takes about 2-3 hours to hike, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and carry water and snacks.
