Getting There

Walking
Start at the center of Grenoble, Place Grenette. Head southwest on Rue de la République towards Rue du Lycée. Turn right onto Rue du Lycée and continue until you reach Place Saint-André. From there, walk towards the river Isère, following the signs to 'Bastille'. Cross the bridge, Pont de la Caille, and continue along the riverside path. Follow the signs for 'Téléphérique' to the cable car station at the base of the mountain. Take the cable car to the top, where you'll find Fort de La Bastille. Enjoy the views!

From the Grenoble train station (Gare de Grenoble), take tram line A towards 'Échirolles - La Poste'. Get off at the stop 'Les Halles - Sainte-Claire'. From there, walk towards the river Isère and follow the signs to the cable car station (Téléphérique). Take the cable car to reach the top of the hill where Fort de La Bastille is located.
