Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Grenoble. Head northeast on Rue de la République toward Place Grenette. Continue straight to stay on Rue de la République, which turns into Avenue Alsace-Lorraine. Follow the signs for N87, then merge onto N87 towards La Tronche. After approximately 4 km, take the exit toward D111 toward Montbonnot-Saint-Martin. Continue on D111 until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Route de la Mairie, which will lead you directly to Terrasse des Géologues. There is no direct parking at the terrace, but you can find parking nearby along the street or in public parking facilities in Grenoble. Please note that parking fees may apply depending on the area.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, start by taking the Tram A from the Grenoble city center (stop: Grenoble, Chavant). Ride the tram towards La Bruyère and get off at the stop named 'Chavant'. From there, transfer to Bus line 13 towards Montbonnot and get off at the stop 'Terrasse des Géologues'. The terrace is a short walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the current schedules and fares on the local transport website, as costs may vary based on time and ticket type.

• Bicycle

  Cyclists can enjoy a scenic route to Terrasse des Géologues. Start at the city center and head towards the Isère River. Follow the riverside bike path until you reach the Pont de la Caille bridge. Cross the bridge, then take the bike lane leading along D111. Follow the signs towards Montbonnot-Saint-Martin, and you will find a dedicated bike path leading directly to Terrasse des Géologues. This route is approximately 10 km and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
