    If you are starting from the Grenoble train station (Gare de Grenoble), exit the station and head northeast on Rue des Alliés. Continue walking straight for about 500 meters until you reach Place de la Gare. From there, turn left onto Rue de la Liberté and walk for another 300 meters until you reach Place Grenette. At Place Grenette, take a right onto Rue de la République and continue straight until you reach the foot of the Bastille. You can take the cable car (Téléphérique) for a scenic view of the city, but if you prefer walking, continue straight on the same road until you reach the pedestrian area. Follow signs towards Porte Saint-Laurent, which is located at 4 Pl. Saint-Laurent, just a short walk from the main square.
