Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Saint-Sauveur, head south towards Rue de la Scierie. Continue straight until you reach Rue de la République. Turn left onto Rue de la République and walk until you see the signs for the Vieux Port (Old Port). Follow the path towards the waterfront, enjoying the views along the way. Once you reach the port, you should see the large building of La Rochelle Aquarium directly across the water. Cross over the pedestrian bridge to reach Quai Louis Prunier where the aquarium is located. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Saint-Sauveur, you can catch the Lignes de La Rochelle bus service at the nearest stop. Look for line 3 or 4, which goes towards the Vieux Port. Board the bus and stay on for about 5-10 minutes. Get off at the 'Aquarium' stop. From there, it is a short walk of about 5 minutes towards the aquarium entrance located at Quai Louis Prunier. The bus fare is approximately €1.50.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Saint-Sauveur. Head towards the Vieux Port following the bike paths. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the port area, park your bicycle in the designated bike parking area and walk towards Quai Louis Prunier to reach La Rochelle Aquarium.
