Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main pier in Vieux Port, head east towards the entrance of the old port. Walk along the waterfront promenade until you reach the massive stone tower, Tour de la Chaîne. Once you pass the tower, continue straight along Rue des Dames, which leads away from the water. After a short walk, take a left onto Rue de la Grosse Horloge. You will see the Big Clock Gate (La Grosse Horloge) at number 7 on your right.

    If you have rented a bicycle, start from the bike rental stations around Vieux Port. Ride along the waterfront promenade heading towards the east side of the port. When you reach Tour de la Chaîne, turn left onto Rue des Dames. Cycle down this street, and when you reach the intersection with Rue de la Grosse Horloge, turn left. The Big Clock Gate will be on your right at number 7. Please remember to park your bicycle at designated bike racks near the gate.
