Getting There

    From Rond-Point du Prado metro station (Metro 2), take bus number 22 to the 'Les Baumettes' terminus. From there, walk approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the calanque. Follow the red-marked trail from the Baumettes car park to Col des Baumettes before descending to Sormiou. A single bus ticket costs around €2.

    If you're already in the Les Baumettes area, the most direct way to reach Calanque de Sormiou is by foot. Follow the well-marked hiking path (red trail) from the Baumettes car park over the Col des Baumettes. The walk takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Be prepared for some uphill sections and wear comfortable shoes.

  • Driving

    Driving to Calanque de Sormiou is possible but heavily regulated, especially from March to October. Access is often restricted to residents, restaurant patrons (with reservations at Le Château), and taxis/VTCs. If you are allowed to drive, be aware that the road is narrow and in poor condition. There is a parking fee of €4.50-€6 per car. During restricted periods, you can park behind the DFCI barrier on the Route de Sormiou and walk approximately 1.5 hours to the calanque.
