Getting There

  • Metro

    Take Metro Line D (the green line) towards Gare de Vaise. Get off at the 'Vieux Lyon' station. After exiting the metro, follow the signs to the exit that leads you towards the Saône river. Once you are outside, turn right and walk along the riverbank until you reach the Pont Bonaparte bridge. Cross the bridge to the other side of the river.

    After crossing the Pont Bonaparte, continue walking uphill along Rue de la République. You will soon reach Rue Cleberg. Turn left onto Rue Cleberg. The Gallo-Roman Museum will be on your left at 17 Rue Cleberg, 69005 Lyon. The museum is located near the top of Fourvière Hill, so be prepared for a bit of a climb.

    Alternatively, from the 'Vieux Lyon' Metro station, you can take the funicular (F2) at the nearby 'Minimes – Théâtres Romains' stop. This will take you directly up to the Fourvière Hill.
