Car
If you are driving, take the A20 motorway towards Cahors. Exit at Junction 58 towards Cahors. Continue on D662/D662E1 for about 6 km until you reach the city center. Follow signs for 'Pont Valentré'. The bridge is located at 46000 Cahors. There is usually free parking available nearby, but be sure to check local signage for any restrictions.
Public Transportation
From Toulouse, take the TER (Train Express Régional) to Cahors. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Cahors train station, exit and walk to the bus stop located just outside the station. Take Bus Line 2 towards 'Cahors - Pont Valentré'. The bus ride takes around 10 minutes. Make sure to purchase your bus ticket at the train station, which costs about €1.50.
Walking
If you are already in Cahors, you can walk to Pont Valentré from the city center. Start at Place Charles de Gaulle and head southeast on Rue de la République. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach Pont Valentré. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes and offers lovely views of the city along the way.
Bicycle
Cahors is bike-friendly, and you can rent a bicycle from local rental shops. Once you have your bike, head towards the river and follow the bike paths along the Lot River. It’s about a 2 km ride from the city center to Pont Valentré, which should take around 10-15 minutes. This is a pleasant option, especially in good weather.
