From Nice Ville train station, take a train towards Ventimiglia. The trains run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey to Villefranche-sur-Mer takes about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Villefranche-sur-Mer station, exit the station and follow the signs towards the beach.

After exiting the Villefranche-sur-Mer train station, walk towards the waterfront along Avenue de la Gare. Continue straight until you reach the beach. From the beach, follow the promenade towards the right (east) until you reach the Port de Villefranche. Continue walking along the waterfront until you see signs for the Citadelle. The path will lead you up towards the Citadel and the viewpoint.

Once you reach the Citadel, you will find a trail that leads to the Viewpoint Fos de la Citadelle. This trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views along the way. It will take you approximately 15 minutes to hike up to the viewpoint. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the hike can be steep in parts.
