Getting There

  • Train

    From Nice Ville train station, take the TER train towards Ventimiglia. The journey to Villefranche-sur-Mer takes about 10 minutes. Disembark at Villefranche-sur-Mer station. After exiting the station, walk straight down Avenue de la Gare until you reach the waterfront. Continue along the waterfront promenade (Promenade de la Darse) until you reach the main harbor area.

    From Nice, take bus 81 from the stop 'Gare Routière' (Nice Bus Station). The bus will take you directly to Villefranche-sur-Mer. Enjoy the scenic ride along the coast which takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Villefranche-sur-Mer' stop. From there, walk up the hill towards Rue du Poilu, then follow signs to La Citadelle de Villefranche-sur-Mer. It should take about 15-20 minutes on foot.
