Getting There

  • Walking

    From the southern end of the Promenade des Anglais, head east towards the beach. Continue walking along the promenade until you reach the intersection with Rue Saint-François de Paule. Turn right onto Rue Saint-François de Paule and follow it until you reach the Place Garibaldi. From there, take the Rue de la Préfecture, which will take you directly towards the entrance to Colline du Château. The walk will take approximately 20-25 minutes, depending on your pace.

  • Public Transport (Tram)

    If you prefer using public transport, you can catch Tram Line 1 from the 'Massena' stop on the Promenade des Anglais. Travel towards the 'Hôpital Pasteur' stop. After about 5 minutes, get off at 'Garibaldi' stop. From there, walk towards Rue de la Préfecture, which will lead you to the entrance of Colline du Château. The tram ticket costs around €1.50.

  • Funicular Railway

    For a unique experience, after reaching the entrance to Colline du Château via the previous walking route or tram, you can take the funicular railway that goes up the hill.
