Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Tarn Gorges, start by heading southeast on D907 towards Mende. Continue on D907 until you reach the roundabout at the intersection with D19. Take the second exit onto D19 and follow it for about 15 kilometers. You'll reach the town of Castellane. From Castellane, take D952 towards the Verdon Gorge. After approximately 20 kilometers, you'll arrive at the gorge. Parking is available at several viewpoints, but be aware that some areas may charge a small fee.

• Public Transportation

  Start by taking a local bus from Tarn Gorges to the nearest major town, Mende. From Mende, you can catch a regional bus to Castellane. The bus ride from Mende to Castellane takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Castellane, you can either take a taxi or look for a local shuttle service that goes to Verdon Gorge, which is roughly a 20-minute drive away. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary throughout the week.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from your location in Tarn Gorges to Verdon Gorge. Taxi services are available, but it is advisable to book in advance. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic and costs around €60-€80. Alternatively, rideshare services might also be available in the area, which can be a convenient option if you prefer not to drive.
