Getting there

Biking/Scootering

From Fakarava Airport (FAV), rent a bike (~€10/day) or e-scooter (~€20/day) in Rotoava Village. Head west for 5km. Follow the paved road, which turns to dirt past the airport. At the PK9 marker, a 300-meter path leads to the beach. The journey takes 30-45 minutes by bike. Watch out for potholes. No public transport exists.

Taxi/Car Transfer

Arrange a car transfer through pensions like Havaiki Lodge (~€15) from the airport. The journey to PK9 Beach takes approximately 30 minutes. Alternatively, a taxi from Rotoava to PK9 Beach will cost around €20-€30. Confirm the price before starting the journey.

Boat

Hire a boat from Rotoava for a scenic ride to PK9 Beach (~€30). Boats dock directly at the beach. Coordinate with local boat operators in advance, especially during peak season.
