Getting There

    The hike to Mt. Teurafaatiu begins from Vaiea, the main village on Maupiti. From the town hall, walk approximately 200 meters north. Look for a shaded trail leading to a communication antenna; bypass the antenna on the left. A sign marks the start of the ascent. Follow the marked trail, keeping an eye out for white arrow-shaped signs and orange markers. The trail gradually ascends, becoming steeper as you approach the summit, with some sections requiring the use of ropes. There are no costs associated with accessing the trail.
