It's advisable to book a return taxi in advance, as they may not be readily available at Matira Beach. Taxi services include Taxi Jerry Bora-Bora, Taxi Simplet, and Dora Taxi.

    It is possible to walk to Matira Beach from Bloody Mary's Restaurant, a popular spot located a short distance away. From Bloody Mary's, the walk to Matira Beach is a pleasant stroll. Walking from Vaitape is possible but not recommended due to the distance of 8km.

The beach extends for approximately 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) from the site of the old Hotel Bora Bora to Matira Point. The soft, powdery white sand gently slopes into the warm, shallow waters of the lagoon, creating an ideal environment for swimming and snorkeling. The crystal-clear turquoise waters are home to a variety of marine life, including colorful fish and coral reefs, particularly around Point Matira.
