    It is possible to walk to Matira Beach from Bloody Mary's Restaurant, a popular spot located a short distance away. From Bloody Mary's, the walk to Matira Beach is a pleasant stroll. Walking from Vaitape is possible but not recommended due to the distance of 8km.

The beach extends for approximately 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) from the site of the old Hotel Bora Bora to Matira Point.
