Getting There

  • Bicycle

    If you are staying in the main part of Rangiroa, start by heading northeast toward the main road (Route de l'Atoll). Follow this road until you reach the intersection at the north end of the island. Turn left and continue on Route de l'Atoll. After approximately 5 km, you will see signs for Gauguin's Pearl - Tahitian Pearl Farm. The farm is located just off the main road, at BP 191. Keep an eye out for the entrance, which is marked.

    From your accommodation in Rangiroa, head toward the main road (Route de l'Atoll). Depending on your starting point, it may take some time to reach the intersection at the north end of the island. Once there, turn left onto Route de l'Atoll. Walk along this road for about 5 km. You will see signs guiding you to Gauguin's Pearl - Tahitian Pearl Farm. The entrance is located at BP 191, just off the road. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the walk can be long.
