The most famous is Vaimahuta, with a vertical drop of 262 feet (80 m). The tallest is Haamaremare Rahi at 328 feet (100 m), and Haamaremare Iti stands at 131 feet (40 m).

Car
From Papeete, drive east on the main road (Route 1) towards Hitiaa O Te Ra. The drive is approximately 14 miles (22.5 km) and takes about 30 minutes. Look for the sign for '3 Cascade de Faarumai' and turn right onto a narrow road. Follow this road through a small village to the parking lot at the end. Parking is usually free.

From the central bus station in Papeete (Place Vai'ete), take bus number 11 towards Hitiaa O Te Ra. Ask the driver to stop at the sign for Fa'aruma'i Waterfalls. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. From the bus stop, walk towards FJ82+668, following the signs to the waterfalls. The walk is about 1.5 kilometers (approximately 15 minutes) along a scenic path. Bus fare is approximately 1-2 USD.
