Getting There

Car

From Papeete, drive east on the main road. After about 45 minutes, look for the sign for 3 Cascade de Faarumai. Turn right onto the narrow road, passing through a small village. Continue driving until you reach the parking lot at the end of the road. Parking is free.
Public Transport

From Papeete, take bus number 11 towards Hitiaa O Te Ra. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop closest to Fa'aruma'i Waterfalls. From the bus stop, walk towards FJ82+668. The waterfalls are about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. The bus costs approximately $1-2 USD.
Walking

From the parking lot, cross the river on a bridge. Follow the trail for about 5 minutes to reach Vaimahuta Falls. To reach Haamaremare Rahi & Haamaremare Iti Falls, continue on the trail for another 15 minutes. The trail is mostly a gravel path.

It has a vertical drop of 262 feet (80 meters). The trail to Vaimahuta is a gravel path that meanders through tropical trees alongside a flowing stream. The plunge of Vaimahuta Falls is a breathtaking sight, often creating a misty atmosphere that adds to the magical experience.The other two waterfalls, Haamaremare Rahi and Haamaremare Iti, are a 20-30 minute walk from Vaimahuta. Haamaremare Rahi is the tallest of the three, standing at approximately 328 feet (100 meters), while Haamaremare Iti is the smallest, with a height of 131 feet (40 meters).
