    From Tbilisi, take a marshrutka (minibus) heading to Kazbegi from Didube Bus Station. Inquire with the driver to ensure they stop at Ananuri Fortress. The fare to Ananuri is approximately 3 GEL. The journey takes about an hour. Upon arrival, the fortress is a short walk from the highway.

    Taxis are readily available in Tbilisi. A taxi ride to Ananuri Fortress will cost approximately 15-19 USD and take about an hour. Negotiate the fare beforehand. The taxi will drop you off directly at the fortress entrance.
