Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from the Arabia Mountain parking area located at 3787 Klondike Rd, Lithonia, GA 30038. From there, take Klondike Rd northeast towards the Arabia Mountain. Continue onto the access road leading to the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area. Follow the signs for the Observation Deck. The total drive should take around 15 minutes depending on traffic. Note that there is no parking fee at the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Observation Deck using public transportation, first take MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) to the Kensington Station. From the Kensington Station, you will need to use a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach the Arabia Mountain parking area. The rideshare trip will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the parking area, follow the marked trails to the Observation Deck, which is a short hike away.

• Hiking

  After parking your car at the Arabia Mountain parking area, look for the trailhead sign that directs you towards the Observation Deck. The hike to the Observation Deck is about 0.5 miles and will take approximately 15-20 minutes. The trail is well-marked, so be sure to follow the signs. Wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the trail can be uneven in places.
