    Discover more about Wine Kakheti

Located in Telavi, the capital of the Kakheti region, Wine Kakheti offers an immersive experience into Georgia's celebrated winemaking traditions. Kakheti is known as the cradle of winemaking, with evidence suggesting wine production dating back 8,000 years. Wine Kakheti blends ancient methods with innovative technologies to produce premium quality, authentic Georgian wine. Wine Kakheti carefully selects the best plots for their vines in the Gurjaani, Akhmeta, and Telavi regions. They cultivate high-quality harvests of Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Kakhuri Mtsvane, Kisi, and Khikhvi grapes. The winery uses high-quality techniques of European and American production. Visitors can explore the vineyards, learn about the unique Kakhetian winemaking method using qvevri (large clay vessels buried underground), and taste a variety of wines. The qvevri method, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, involves fermenting and aging wine in these vessels, allowing the wine to develop naturally without intervention. This results in bold, unfiltered wines with complex flavors. Wine Kakheti aims to preserve and showcase Georgia's unique winemaking heritage on an international scale.
