Car

If you're traveling by car, start from Telavi, the capital of Kakheti. Head south on the E117 road towards Lagodekhi. After approximately 35 kilometers, you will reach a junction; take the road leading to Lagodekhi (there are signs). Continue straight for about 15 kilometers until you arrive in Lagodekhi. Look for the signs towards Black Grouse Waterfall. The waterfall is located about 7 kilometers from the center of Lagodekhi. Follow the narrow road (it can be bumpy) until you find designated parking areas near the waterfall.

Public Transportation

To reach Black Grouse Waterfall using public transportation, start from Telavi and take a marshrutka (minibus) to Lagodekhi. The ride typically takes around 1 hour and costs about 5 GEL. Once you arrive in Lagodekhi, you can either take a taxi (which should cost around 10-15 GEL) directly to the waterfall or look for local buses or shared taxis that go towards the waterfall. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at the waterfall entrance.

Walking

If you are already in Lagodekhi and prefer to walk, you can hike to Black Grouse Waterfall from the town. The hike is approximately 7 kilometers and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Start from the center of Lagodekhi and follow the main road towards the waterfall. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the last stretch can be steep and uneven.
