Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Tbilisi, head east on the E117 highway. Continue on this road for approximately 120 kilometers until you reach the town of Zestaponi. Then, take the exit towards the E691 road towards Katskhi. Follow this road for about 30 kilometers until you reach Katskhi. Upon reaching the village, follow the signs to the Katskhi Column, which is located at the coordinates 42.2875° N, 43.2158° E. There is a small parking area near the site.

Public Transportation
To reach Katskhi Column via public transport, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Tbilisi to Kutaisi, which takes about 2.5 hours. Once in Kutaisi, transfer to another marshrutka heading to Zestaponi. Upon arrival in Zestaponi, catch a local marshrutka or taxi to Katskhi, which is about 30 kilometers away. Be sure to confirm with the driver that they are going to Katskhi. The marshrutka fare will cost around 5 GEL, while the taxi may cost between 20-30 GEL depending on negotiation.
