Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car from any location in Kakheti, head towards the town of Telavi. From Telavi, take the main road towards the city of Tbilisi (E117). After approximately 30 minutes, look for signs to Norio, which is off the main road. Follow the signs towards Norio and continue on St. Anton of Martkopi Monastery Rd. The monastery will be located on your right shortly after entering Norio. There is parking available near the monastery.

Public Transportation

To reach Martkopi Monastery via public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Telavi to Tbilisi. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Norio exit. From there, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the monastery. You may also find local taxis at the marshrutka stop that can take you to the monastery directly for a small fee (around 10 GEL).

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Telavi to Martkopi Monastery. The taxi ride should take about 30 minutes and will cost approximately 30-50 GEL, depending on your negotiation with the driver.
