Car

If you're driving to Nekresi, start from Telavi, the capital of Kakheti. Head east on the Shota Rustaveli Avenue (E117) for approximately 8 kilometers. Look for signs towards Nekresi Monastery Road and turn left. Continue on this road for about 3 kilometers, where you'll find the Nekresi Monastery on your right. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as the roads can be winding and narrow in some parts.

Public Transportation

To reach Nekresi by public transport, start at the Telavi bus station. Take a minibus (marshrutka) heading towards the village of Nekresi. The fare is usually around 1-2 GEL (Georgian Lari). The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Nekresi village stop, follow the signs directing you to the Nekresi Monastery, which is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill from the bus stop.

Walking

If you prefer to walk from the village of Nekresi after taking the marshrutka, head up the hill following the paved path marked with signs for Nekresi Monastery. The walk is about 1.5 kilometers and may take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace. Enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains along the way.
