Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the central square of Kutaisi, known as the 'Ioseb Chachba Square'. Head southeast on Tsereteli Street towards the main intersection. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Gamsakhurdia Street. Turn left onto Gamsakhurdia Street and walk until you reach the next major intersection with Tbel Abuseridze Street. At this intersection, turn right onto Tbel Abuseridze Street and walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance of the Kukutsa Monastery on your left. This is a good landmark. After passing the monastery, continue walking for another 500 meters until you see a small pathway leading down to the river. Follow this pathway for about 300 meters, and you will arrive at Dandalo Bridge, which is located across the river.

    From Ioseb Chachba Square, walk to the nearby bus station. Look for a bus heading towards Jalabashvilebi, which is a village near Dandalo Bridge. Buses usually have clear signs showing their destination. Once you board the bus, ask the driver to let you know when you reach Jalabashvilebi. The bus ride should take around 15-20 minutes. When you get off, walk towards the river. Dandalo Bridge is approximately a 10-minute walk downhill from the bus drop-off point.
